Tips For Hanging Cabinets
-
Never Demo your kitchen until you have your new cabinets on site and all accounted for.
-
Always pull the cabinet doors off when installing, less likely to get banged up and makes it easier to drill pilot holes in cabinet styles.
-
When ever possible, after you make your line to hang your upper wall cabinets, tack a board across the bottom. This you'll have something to set your cabinet on while you're mounting them to the wall.
-
Once you have the cabinet in place before you mount it to the wall be sure to line up the cabinet styles and pre drill and screw together at the top and bottom of the cabinet before mounting to the wall. Its difficult to get the styles to line up if you mount it to the wall first.
-
Always let your cabinet dealer know if you are installing a Farmhouse Sink because you have to go with smaller doors due to the drop of the sink (they are not special order) but there will be a charge for the extra doors.
